Camp Dover Peace Conference 1997

I am very pleased to announce that I have been asked to be the Guest of Honor at
next April's annual Camp Dover Peace Conference, to be held from Friday, April
25th through Sunday, April 27th, 1997.
I have spoken with many people about the Dover Conference, and it is
consistently described as a phenomenal event, a very enjoyable fan-run
convention, with a large contingent of Klingon fans from a range of fan
organizations (e.g., KAG, KLAW, KSF).
This seems like a great opportunity to take the Klingon language directly to the
fans, and I promise to do my best to ensure that every person at the convention
leaves with a greater knowledge of and appreciation for tlhIngan Hol.
I suspect we'll also have some new surprises to unveil at about the time, and
the Dover event will provide a nice platform for that as well.
Any KLI members who are planning to attend the Dover Conference please come up
and talk with me at the convention. Meeting the people who make up our
membership is my favorite part of speaking at conventions, I'd like to meet each
of you face to face.

BTW, this year's GoH was Robert O'Reilly (which is going to be a very difficult
act to follow). Rumors about that he might just "show up" at next year's event,
unless of course the Founders get him (but that's another story). Also schedule
for the 1997 conference is ST author Margaret Wander Bonnano.
See you at Dover (think of it as a warm-up for the qep'a' loSDIch).
