I have no idea what an 'er is, but the CD-rom tells us that a Qa' is a fierce
creature. Since a Qa'Hom is an animal which looks like a small Qa', I take
it that a Qa' is rather large. Probably not a good idea for a witch's
familiar.
Perhaps a Qa'Hom would be a good choice. A small creature which is
relatively harmless, sounds like a frog or a cat.
