Also, the name of the Klingon homeworld wasn't decided on until Star Trek VI.
Before that, it was often referred to as "Kling." Perhaps {tlhIngan} was
once {tlhIngngan} in Old Klingon, but since then it has been shortened.
Just a little bit of unauthorized speculation by yours truly.
