I was watching a show called "The Human Animal" on the Learning Channel
and it described the evolution of the breast.
You see, breast size is not important to milk production. The apes and
other primates don't have 'huge tracts of land'. Why do humans?
It is because of the human's (or Klingon's) bipedal stance. The female
primates, walking around on all fours, have their sexual organs pretty
much exposed for the approval of their potential mate. Bipedalism hides
that so, in response, the human form developed enlarged breasts as a
simulation of the buttocks. If you can convince some female to oblige
you, compare the two 'cleavages' and you'll see exactly what I mean.
Given that competition amongst Klingons for potential mates tends to be
highly agressive, it follows that the females would have a propensity
towards larger breasts than their human counterparts, better to advertise
what they have to offer.
This 'display' function might might also explain the Klingon forehead
ridges. On Earth, the Babboon has a brightly colored nose. A shaft of
read flanked by bright blue. This color scheme somewhat mirrors the
primates genetals. If the Klingons follow the same rules... well... that
I'll leave to the imagination.
Isn't evolution wonderful?
