Boustrophedon is no harder to read than monotrope ("one direction"),
if it's what you learned to read. In fact, because the line breaks
are so unobtrusive, it can be much easier. For instance, very long
strings of genetic information are typically transcribed in lines of
letters that alternate direction each line. Because there isn't any
real "context" to help, it is very difficult to scan to the start of
the next line without constantly moving a physical placemarker.
