Not to throw cold water... but wouldn't Dotlh Quch mean 'a status
that is happy'? Which is nonsense.
OTOH... Klingons are nothing if not practical. (And belligerent,
and valuing honor, and... but never mind.) And since 'a status
that is happy' IS nonsense, the more sensible meaning 'status of
[one's] happiness' could take over.
OT3H... This reasoning doesn't work for all verbs. (Please, not
"adjective". We've had mucho grief and flame from that
confusion. tlhIngan HolvaD "adjective"-mey tu'lu'be'bej!) A
status can itself be important or obvious... but those cases are
fairly few & may be paraphraseable.
