Klingon Extended Corpus Project

The Extended Corpus Project is an attempt to catalogue words attributed to Klingon from sources connected to Star Trek but not (necessarily) to tlhIngan Hol. Most of the words here are not properly part of the Klingon language as considered by speakers of the language (they even have sounds not in Klingon), but have been presented as instances of Klingon, both in otherwise authorized Star Trek sources (e.g., the hundreds of novels of Star Trek fiction), or unauthorized fan sources. The ECP was formed in the interests of completion and is an ongoing effort, one which (unlike most KLI projects) does not require extensive knowledge of the language. (proper noun-place) Location of a battle where the Klingons fought. Ler'at fought at lagon. [STK p.132]

(n) A Klingon weapon which is on a long staff with a hook at one end and a metal ball on the other. [Ru p.88]

Lallek

(n) Name of a Klingon warship. Both Rodek and Kurak served aboard it. [DI p.85]

Lambdor

(n) A Klingon planetary system within Klingon space which held scientific interest to the Empire. [U p.60]

Larok

(proper name) Klingon warrior and older brother of Kori. Captain of the IKV Sompek. [DI p.117]

Lechraj

(n) Name of a Klingon warship in the Klingon Defense Force. [TWW p.165]

LengwI'

(n) Name given to Worf's large, grey pet targ when he was a child. [EOB p.151]

Lenoch

(proper name) Klingon male killed by a choc'pa poisoned blade in a feud with another clan. He was survived by a younger brother and other family members. He was a member of the House of Warrokh. [Ru p.320]

Ler'at

(proper name) Elderly Klingon warrior from the House of Tignar. Ler'at was one of Gowron's personal guards. Ler'at earned his status by fighting in many battles that included teh, reth, lagon, dumath and negan. [STK p.108/p.132]

Leskit

(proper name) Klingon warrior and Lieutenant serving as Helmsman/Pilot aboard the IKV Gorkon commanded by Captain Klag. Previously, Leskit was serving aboard the IKV Rotarran, a Klingon bird-of-prey commanded by General Martok. [FTD p.16/DI p.2]

Linkasa

(proper name) Klingon warrior and father of Sirella. [NWNC p.50]

llngen

(n) A huge type of Klingon tree that flourishes along river banks on Tsorn. They are dark red at the root which rises 2 meters above the ground and change to a grey-green canopy as the tree reaches skyward. [PAS p.185]

Lomahk

(proper name) Klingon warrior and a high ranking official in the Klingon Defense Force. Lomahk was also a co-conspirator in the revolt to overthrow the Gowron government headed by Unarrh. [KLS p.41]

Lorak

(proper name) Klingon warrior; son of B'Kol. Formally the Captain of the IKS naQjej, he moved up to command the Hegh yan Strike Fleet. As Chancellor and predecessor to Gorkon, Lorak ordered the expansion of the Empire along the Federation border known as the naQjej SIS'a' HIv Doctrine. [STKA p.21-23/163]

(proper name) Klingon House friendly with the House of Mogh. [DI p.10]

lorks

(n) An undescribed object. Apparently being called a "lover of lorks" is quite an insult in Klingon society. [TKG p.128]

Lormit

(proper noun-place) Name of a Sector within Klingon space. [MW1 p.221]

Lornak

(proper name) Klingon warrior and Fleet Captain. Captain Lornak commanded the Klingon Fleet that was sent to recapture taD following the overthrow of its government. [DI p.104]

Lorta

(proper name) Female Klingon warrior serving as Security Chief aboard the IKV Terthos commanded by Captain K'tran. Lorta holds the rank of Lieutenant. [INOH p.190]

Losh

(proper name) Klingon warrior and a crew member of the SoSoy tuj commanded by Cmdr. Kozara. Losh expected to be assigned to an advanced training facility following Kozara's mission but was denied because the mission was a failure. [SOTL p.93]

Loski

(proper name) Klingon warrior, Admiral and Govenor of a star system in Klingon space. Admiral Loski headed up the bioengineering project that caused Klingons to appear more human during the early days of the war with the Federation. This allowed Klingon warriors to infultrate Federation outposts. [SNW II p.117]

Lotre

(proper name) Klingon male who was adopted as a war orphan on a Klingon colony seized by the Romulans. Lotre is loyal to Romulus. [MW1 p.19]

(n) A Klingon drug used as a truth serum. [PAS p.5]

Lourn

(proper name) A cleric serving at the monestary on Boreth. [TWW p.84]

Loutek

(proper name) Klingon warrior and crew member of the Kad'nra commanded by Capt. Vheled. He was a member of the Gevish'rae. [PAS p.146/173]

luHoHta'

(proper name) Female Klingon warrior; granddaughter of Captain tlhDon. She is now serving as Senior Lieutenant aboard the battlecruiser taj commanded by Captain Qeyn as well as his aide. Her name means "They killed him". It refers to a glorious episode in the history of her clan. [FTD p.17]

Lupo

(proper name) Klingon youth; one of the lost children from the Kapor'At colony. [WD p.133]

Lursor

(n) Name of a large lake located at the foot of the Kri'stak Volcano not far from the sea. Tradition holds that after Kahless forged the first bat'leth, he dipped it in Lake Lursor. [NWNC p.53]
