Klingon Extended Corpus Project

The Extended Corpus Project is an attempt to catalogue words attributed to Klingon from sources connected to Star Trek but not (necessarily) to tlhIngan Hol. Most of the words here are not properly part of the Klingon language as considered by speakers of the language (they even have sounds not in Klingon), but have been presented as instances of Klingon, both in otherwise authorized Star Trek sources (e.g., the hundreds of novels of Star Trek fiction), or unauthorized fan sources. The ECP was formed in the interests of completion and is an ongoing effort, one which (unlike most KLI projects) does not require extensive knowledge of the language. (phrase) A Klingon exclamation of protest. Presumably intended as "'e' teHbe'." [GL p.44]

Edronh

(proper name) Klingon warrior, father of Rannuf. Edronh was leader of an outlaw band of warriors. He briefly fought against Kahless, but ended up joining him in his fight to overthrow Molor. At a later date, he betrayed Kahless and warned Molor of Kahless's approach before the battle of Tolar'tu. Molor then had him killed for ever turning against him in the first place. [KLS p.139]

Eglons

(n) A Klingon animal that is exemplary of bravery. [SMD p.109]

Ehhak

(n) Name of a Klingon ship, designation KL7, which investigated Organia. [MEMA p.39]

Ekkava

(n) Klingon battlecruiser commanded by Commander Kaiev. [DO p.118]

Eknaar

(proper name) Klingon warrior and Doctor onboard Kang's battlecruiser, the Klolode II. [PAS p.3]

Ekthorn

(proper name) Klingon warrior and commander of the Klingon battlecruiser, Kahless. Ekthorn is native to Klairos with a younger brother who has appreciable rank in the Klairosian High Council. He is an extremely popular commander within the fleet. [PAS p.248]

Elanea

(proper name) Klingon female; aunt of Teilani. [DV p.173]

en'chula

(n) A type of grass that is red-colored. [KLS p.128]

en'tach

(n) A type of leaf that is brown colored and oval shaped. It blooms in the springtime. The leaf is a source of oil used for boiling. [KLS p.82]

Enekti

(n) Name of a Klingon ship, designation KL66. The Enekti was part of a task force of 7 other ships sent to intercept the Enterprise that was testing a new form of inversion drive. The Enekti was destroyed due to structural failure during its engagement with the Enterprise. [TWS p.61]

Engath

(proper name) Klingon warrior and crew member of the Kad'nra commanded by Capt. Vheled. He was a member of the Gevish'rae. He was killed by Grael. [PAS p.230/261]

(n) An honorific used before a person's last or line name indicating very high status./A rank in the Klingon military. [TFR p.28/ROE p.49]

epetai-zana

(n) An honorific so high it becomes absurd. Typically it is used as an insult. [TFR p.48]

(proper name) Klingon warrior, father Majjas. [KLS p.172]

Esys

(proper name) Klingon - Romulan hybrid from the planet Chal. [TAE p.117]

eurakoi

(n) Klingon hand held weights, about 5kgs each, made of shrogh metal. The surface is decorated with carvings illustrating Klingon legends. A Klingon boy is traditionally given the eurakoi by his mother's eldest brother. The point of the eurakoi exercise is to experience pain by holding the weights in front at arm's length, shoulder level for 45 minutes. By meeting this pain head on, the boy then embraces it and finally laughs in it's ugly face. [CD p.26]
